MWA-Safaris, located in the Niassa Province, north of Mozambique, is now one of the most sought after Safari destination in East Africa.

The Marangira Concession is located 130 Km south of Tanzania’s Sealous Game Reserve and stretches over roughly 270,000 hectares of pristine wilderness, bordering the Niassa National Reserve to its North, in the proximity of the small town of Marrupa. As a company, MWA-Safaris works closely with local leaders to assist them in community projects such as school equipment, honey farming, harvesting community quotas and other emerging projects.

Delimited by the Ruambeze river on the East and the Loreco rivers in the West, it offers breath-taking rock formations, surrounded mainly by Miombo woodlands, home to some endemic species like the Johnson’s Impala, Roosevelt Sable, Boehm’s Zebra and Lichtenstein’s Hartebeest. Large herds of Buffalo can be seen roaming this pristine habitat, along with Leopard, Lion and other vast quality plains game.

Guests can expect nothing but leisure and relaxation in our main camp, Marangira, where we cater for all comforts and our team will welcome you with true Mozambican hospitality. Temporary or fly-camps are erected yearly based on game movements in order to improve on hunting opportunities.

At MWA-Safaris, we believe in the traditional and ethical ‘walk and stalk’ hunting method, and hunters need to be reasonably fit as conditions in this landscape with its Inselbergs, seasonal rivers and lush seepages can at times be challenging.

Our hunting season is from June until the end of November.
